Hassan Allam Construction (HAC), Hassan Allam Holding’s (HAH) flagship construction company, was awarded an engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) contract to build a water treatment plant in 6th of October City, west Cairo, with a capacity of 400,000 cubic meters per day, Invest-Gate reports.

Under the agreement, HAC will join forces with HAH’s specialized water engineering and construction subsidiaries, Intech and the recently acquired Munich-based Bioworks AG, for the project’s development, offering the client a comprehensive solution for the expansive, complex sanitation plant, which is set to entirely serve 6th of October City, it revealed in a released statement on June 25.

“The contract underscores our unique position in the market as a leader in the provision of turnkey water solutions … HAH and its subsidiaries have invested heavily in developing EPC solutions to serve the water industry, including desalination, wastewater treatment, and water infrastructure, and plan to continue expanding into this line of business in the years to come,” CEO of HAH Hassan Allam was quoted as saying.
